Job Overview: The Engineering Level 2 Diploma Apprenticeship is a comprehensive program designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in engineering. This apprenticeship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in various engineering disciplines to gain practical experience and develop essential skills in engineering principles and practices. Candidates will work 4 days onsite in Norbrook and study 1 day per week at SRC. The Level 2 Diploma Apprenticeship combines practical training with theoretical study to provide a comprehensive educational experience.
Main Tasks/Activities:
* Assist engineers in designing, testing, and implementing engineering solutions.
* Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
* Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
* Document work activities including observations, measurements, and test results.
* Adhere to all GMP standards/guidelines and maintain a quality-oriented mindset.
Essential Criteria:
* GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Solid interest in developing a career in engineering
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to work as 'One Team'
* Willingness to learn and strong problem-solving skills
Duration:
2 years. The apprenticeship provides a solid foundation for further professional development in engineering, with potential progression to relevant Level 3 courses at the college.

This role will be based in a site that produces and handles penicillin; therefore, it is not suitable for individuals with a penicillin allergy.
