Role: Waste & Project Engineer
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: Romney Marsh, South Kent (4 days per week)
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate: £380 £480 per day
Essential:
1. Experience in an Engineering role
2. Experience of nuclear and/or conventional project engineering
3. Understanding of relevant Company and/or national engineering standards
4. Working knowledge of the Safety Rules and working knowledge of risk assessment methodology
5. Ideally, membership of a relevant Engineering Institute
As a Project Engineer your main responsibilities will be:
6. Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned project
7. Contribute to production of Project Execution Plan including design, safety case and commissioning strategies
8. Support project optioneering process
9. Develop concept design and fit for purpose engineering solution for projects
10. Produce and/or approve project technical specifications
11. Manage detailed design activities in accordance with design authority standards
12. Prepare modification proposals as required, acting as a Nominated Responsible Engineer where appointed
13. Carry out technical assessment/approval of contractors work instructions/method statements/risk assessments
14. Provide technical supervision of construction/deconstruction activities to ensure compliance with design intent
15. Approve as built drawings
16. Specify and provide technical supervision of commissioning and/or decommissioning
17. Manage hand over to systems/operations ensuring that all drawings, instructions and training have been supplied as required
18. Liaise and consult with system engineers and other stakeholders throughout project life cycle to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
19. Maintain site configuration control throughout project lifecycle
20. Comply with all Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments and support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality on Site
