Consultant Gastroenterologist at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at Scarborough Hospital. This is a 10 programmed activities (PAs) post over five days. Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality gastroenterology clinical care as part of the MDT.
* Work in Endoscopy and ED interface and contribute to acute care pathways.
* Participate in teaching, research, and quality improvement projects as aligned with interests.
* Engage in the general medical on-call rota and any tailored or subspecialty commitments as negotiated in the job plan.
* Support service development and work towards long-term sustainability and work-life balance.
Qualifications
* Higher medical qualification (MRCP or equivalent).
* On the GMC Specialist Register for G(I)M and Gastroenterology or within 6 months of obtaining the CCT at the time of interview.
* Clinical skills in Gastroenterology with the option (voluntary) to cover General Internal Medicine.
* Experience or familiarity with service organisation and development is advantageous; supported by a Hepatology department for routine and emergency Hepatology cases.
