*Job Overview*
Our client based in *Burton *requires a Class 2 (Cat C) driver to join the team on a temp-to-perm contract*.*
You will be responsible for the timely delivery and offloading of goods to their retail stores around the country, driving a Class 2 Rigid vehicle. This role is *Mon-Fri* with 1 overnight stay every fortnight.
Start times vary between 00:00 and 06:00 AM.
*Duties*
* Safely operate a Class 2 lorry, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
* Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, maintaining punctuality throughout the shift.
* Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or defects promptly.
* Assist with loading and unloading goods at delivery points, ensuring accuracy and care during handling.
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
* Uphold high standards of vehicle cleanliness and safety at all times.
*Pay*
* £16.25ph (PAYE Advanced - Inclusive of holidays)
* £14.50ph (PAYE Accrued - Accrued holiday)
*Requirements*
* HGV Class 2 (C) licence with a minimum of 1 years experience.
* Valid CPC card and Digital Tacho card
* Able to physically fit as handballing of a cage will be required
