My client are a global provider of financial services products.
Due to an internal promotion, Jefferson Tiley is assisting in the critical hire of a Finance Governance Manager.
This role will work from the Bristol office (3 days a week) and will seek to manage the Governance and Risk Management frameworks in Finance, working in close collaboration with the CFO, Heads of Function and global process owners in addition to the Risk, Compliance and Audit functions.
The successful applicant will be accountable for supporting 1st line of defence activities and ensuring all governance and control processes are in place, operating effectively and fully compliant. The role will also be accountable for ensuring effective and robust compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
This role will operate within the Global Finance function and be responsible for and support activity across all areas and locations of Finance globally. The role holder will be required to work across multiple disciplines within the Finance team, building knowledge and relationships to influence adherence to policies, playbooks and control frameworks.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant as they will need to have a 360 degree appreciation of how a finance function operates. This is a standalone role but also a highly visible one that will build and manage relationships with stakeholders at the highest levels of finance globally. Previous financial services experience is highly desirable.
This person will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as being used to managing their projects in a timely manner.
