I am supporting a caring andmunity-driven primary school in the BD2 area as they seek a warm, patient, and proactive KS1 teacher to join them after Easter. This is a full-time role continuing through to July.
About the RoleThe appointed teacher will lead a Key Stage 1 class, creating a calm, encouraging environment where young learners feel safe, valued, and ready to grow. The school places a strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing and inclusive practice, so the ability to build trusting relationships and provide gentle, consistent support is essential.
Essential QualitiesThe school is looking for someone who can offer both high‑quality teaching and a nurturing presence. Candidates should:
1. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Have recent experience teaching within KS1
3. Demonstrate confidence working with pupils with SEND, including adapting activities and providing targeted support
4. Show apassionate approach to behaviour and classroom dynamics
5. Bring creativity, patience, and amitment to helping every child meet their full potential
