Facilities Support Engineer (Contract – 3 Months)
Rate: £200–£300 per day
Location: West Midlands (on-site)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Facilities Support Engineer to support mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, as well as facility upgrades aligned with business priorities. This is an initial 3-month contract with potential extension.
Key Responsibilities

Support project and test facility requirements, ensuring delivery to timing and specification
*
Assist in developing facility capability alongside internal and external stakeholders
*
Maintain operational standards in line with legislative and regulatory compliance
*
Ensure workshops operate safely, with appropriate equipment and clear instructions
*
Apply and maintain 5S housekeeping standards across site operations
*
Support Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities
*
Supervise subcontractors carrying out maintenance, upgrades, and calibration
*
Manage and maintain specialist equipment contracts
*
Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors
*
Ensure facilities and maintenance activities align with ISO9001 standards
Skills & Experience
*
Qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)
*
Multi-skilled maintenance and engineering experience
*
Experience with facility development and upgrades
*
Strong background in planned maintenance systems
*
Ability to manage issues, prioritise tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment
*
Familiarity with 5S or similar continuous improvement methodologies

Additional Information
