As the new Project Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in the financial management of large-scale, high-impact projects. You’ll be the bridge between finance and operations—translating numbers into insights and helping project teams stay on track, on budget, and aligned with business goals.Key Responsibilities
1. Partner with project managers and operational leads to provide financial guidance and support
2. Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and actuals, ensuring accuracy and accountability
3. Prepare and present financial reports to non-finance stakeholders in a clear, actionable way
4. Identify risks and opportunities, offering proactive solutions to keep projects financially healthy
5. Support month-end and year-end processes related to project accounting
6. Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and reporting tools
What you'll need to succeed
7. Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
8. Strongmunication skills with the ability to influence and engage non-finance colleagues
9. Experience working on large orplex projects, ideally in a matrixed organisation
10. Analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving
11. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
