Night Role: Violence against Women & Girls (VAWG) Support Worker, Respite Rooms (35 hours per week, £24,043.50 - £24,843.00 per annum, pro rata – Permanent)

The Respite Rooms supports single women experiencing homelessness, violence against women and girls (VAWG) and multiple disadvantage, by providing safe and secure temporary accommodation.
Responsibilities
* work within a small professional team in a friendly and supportive environment
* build trusting relationships with customers and support their progress towards independence
* receive full training in trauma-informed approaches, managing mental health, substance misuse and accommodation services
* liaise with external providers to access services that support customers
* prioritise the immediate safety needs of customers and manage risk
* enable customers to access local support services
* engage customers in their own recovery and support planning
* support customers to access move-on accommodation to continue their journey of safety and recovery
* provide intensive personalised support and effective case management
* support access to services including legal, mental health, sexual health, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol services
* build professional working relationships internally and externally
* be resilient, confident, calm, practical and pragmatic; be self-motivated, proactive, assertive, empathetic and non-judgemental
* demonstrate good listening, questioning and written communication skills
