Electrical Supervisor - FTC
Mitie is currently recruiting an Approved Electrician to join Mitie Electrical Team at our NRS Harwell Branch in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate would have the following job responsibilities:
Responsibilities
1. To be appointed as Authorised Person for electrical works on Mitie and client system
2. Task Supervisor under NRS's safety appointments regime – training will be provided
3. Line management of Electrical operatives. Responsibility includes induction, pre and post job briefing, technical advice and support, health and safety and performance management
4. Duties would be planned and reactive maintenance of various buildings in our client's portfolio. ie; Inspection and testing, emergency light testing, PAT Testing, RCD testing, installation of new equipment or replacement/repair of Lamps, Sockets etc.
5. Looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who will add value to an expanding business.
6. Able to work on their own initiative but will need to work well within a team environment, assisting other trades when required.
7. An ability to deal with clients and suppliers alike with good written and verbal communication skills required.
8. To be part of the on call rota, Manage and communicate an effective emergency call out service for electrical operatives, ensuring out of hours support is available to NRS in case of breakdown.
What we are looking for
9. To carry out duties with due regard to current good practice and in line with current Health and Safety legislation.
10. Previous experience with all types of access equipment would be advantageous.
11. Experience with commercial and industrial installations
12. Competent with testing and inspection with or equivalent.
13. Candidate must be fully conversant with latest wiring regulations and be competent with completing NICEIC Certificates; opportunity to be NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for company.

29. Wiliness to work with Radiological controlled areas and wearing of appropriate RPE when required.
30. Able to become a monitored radiation worker, and to enter radiologically designated areas after medicals and relevant training.
31. A willingness to wearing of appropriate Radiological Protection Equipment and Electrical PPE as when required

32. Required to work 9 days fortnight
33. 18th Edition in electrical installation
34. NVQ Level 3 in electro technical services - Electrical Installation
35. City & Guilds or /95 testing and inspection
36. City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent
37. City & Guilds
38. English speaking
39. Previous maintenance experience working in a commercial environment
40. Be flexible & carry out duties which are not specific to your trade
41. Hold a full clean driving licence
42. Knowledge of Health & Safety & safe working practices, all mandatory Safety training will be given, but specialist training such as IPAF and PASMA Certification (preferred)
43. Strong customer care focus.
44. Baseline security clearance would be advantageous.
