Duties
* Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
* Support the cooking team by ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available during service periods.
* Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items promptly to maintain an efficient workflow.
* Help with the storage of food items and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and organisation.
* Assist in maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
* Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous.
* Experience in hospitality or culinary roles will be considered a plus.
