Your role as a Senior Operational Leader will involve various responsibilities that may change according to business priorities. We need adaptable and flexible individuals. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Leading a large, geographically dispersed team of HEOs, reporting to Grade 7, and setting strategic priorities.
2. Making complex decisions independently and swiftly, applying technical knowledge and sound judgment.
3. Driving performance through regular reviews, risk identification, and continuous improvement.
4. Championing business change and effectively embedding new policies and procedures.
5. Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across government and external bodies.
6. Providing visible leadership through site visits and clear, engaging communication.
7. Fostering motivated, flexible teams by listening, acting on feedback, and setting high standards.
8. Promoting innovation and collaboration across teams and directorates.
9. Overseeing people planning and resource deployment across sites.
10. Enhancing customer experience by designing and managing roles and processes.
11. Ensuring compliance with DWP policies and legislation, managing risks sensitively and promptly.
Due to the geographically dispersed nature of this team, this role will require frequent travel and overnight stays.
