The Role
Fortem Solutions is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Stonewater contract, covering houses across Bath, Trowbridge, and Westbury. The Electrician will handle property maintenance and repairs for Social Housing properties. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role requires ensuring all work is performed to high standards with minimal supervision, taking ownership to achieve 'First time Fix' on all jobs, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and working within budget and time constraints while maintaining professionalism around tenants.
The Customer
Our long-term contract with Stonewater covers over 7,500 houses across the South-West, including Taunton, Yeovil, Bristol, Swindon, Salisbury, and Bournemouth. We provide Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works, and Electrical Services. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and have experienced leadership to support your development.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Installing, servicing, and maintaining electrical systems and appliances according to The IET Wiring Regulations.
2. Inspecting, testing, and completing Electrical Certificates or Electrical Condition Reports accurately.
3. Carrying out EICRs and remedial upgrades as needed.
4. Collaborating with other team members to complete projects.
5. Planning and purchasing materials efficiently.
6. Following company policies on occupational road risk.
7. Recording and submitting accurate data via business systems and electronic devices.
8. Using a PDA smartphone to communicate progress with the Repairs Planning team.
9. Completing daily work sheets post-job.
What You Will Need
Essential criteria:
* C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2 Electrotechnical Competences and NVQ 3 Certificate 2356.
* Technical Certificates Level 2 & 3 plus NVQ 3 or NVQ 3 2356.
* C&G 18th Edition Certificate.
* Full UK driving license (max 6 points).
Desirable:
* C&G 2391.
* Unvented Hot Water Certificate, Water Regulations Certificate, Part P.
* JIBH&S Test Certificate with current JIBP card.
* Testing & Inspecting Certificate C&G 2377.
* PAT Certificate.
* Experience in Social Housing.
