An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Respiratory Nurse to join the community Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist team in Pembrokeshire. We are looking for an experienced registered nurse with a high level of clinical skills and theoretical knowledge in respiratory nursing. Interviews will be held on 02/10/2025.
The role will support the delivery of clinical nurse respiratory services across Pembrokeshire and the wider Health Board system, working across primary, community and acute settings to ensure seamless, high-quality care for patients with respiratory conditions. The post holder will play a key role in strengthening respiratory nursing capacity and ensuring continuity of care across the system.
The respiratory nursing team provide specialist nursing knowledge and skills for people diagnosed with respiratory conditions. They provide multidisciplinary care planning and care interventions designed to reduce hospital admissions, with the aim of improving patient outcomes. The team work closely with respiratory consultants, multi-professional respiratory colleagues, primary care, and community based nursing teams/services.
Excellent verbal/written communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.
The Health Board is bilingual and supports Welsh language use in patient care. Applications from Welsh speakers are welcome, and the ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. Responsibilities
* Deliver respiratory nursing care across primary, community and acute settings to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

* Strengthen respiratory nursing capacity and support continuity of care across the system.
* Engage in specialist nursing knowledge, care planning, and care interventions to reduce hospital admissions where appropriate.
Qualifications
* Registered or State Enrolled Nurse with a high level of clinical skills and theoretical knowledge in respiratory nursing.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills.
* Welsh language ability is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are welcome.
