Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineer Location: London Role Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Principal Electrical Engineer, leading projects and disciplines. As principal engineer in our building services team, your responsibilities will include: • Leading multidisciplinary projects from start to completion. • Manages interaction with clients/ design team members. • Overseeing technical delivery and ensuring projects meet quality, compliance, and performance standards. • Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers. • Driving innovation and best practices across the mechanical/electrical discipline. • Contributes to recruitment, retention, and development of top engineering talent. • Representing Waterman at industry events, builds and maintains relationships with industry colleagues. What we’re looking for: • Significant experience in mechanical/electrical building services design across regulated sectors. • Proven ability to influence engineering outcomes and lead design teams. • Strong proficiency with MagiCAD, Relux, Amtech/ EOM, AutoCAD and Revit. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage clients and stakeholders at all levels. • Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or a closely related discipline. • Chartered status or working towards it. • A proactive, collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering technically excellent, sustainable designs.
