A leading heavy process manufacturing company is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter / Technician to join its engineering team at a large industrial production site near Maidstone, Kent. Day shift, Monday to Friday. Excellent salary, benefits and career prospects.Working as part of the maintenance team, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and continuous improvement activities across a range of heavy industrial plant and equipment.Key responsibilities include:Mechanical maintenance of process machinery and site servicesPlanned preventative maintenance (PPM)Fault finding and breakdown responseRepair and overhaul of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentSupporting shutdown and project workUsing SAP CMMS to record maintenance activitiesIdentifying reliability improvements and engineering solutionsEnsuring compliance with site health, safety and environmental standardsRequirementsMechanical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)5 x GCSEs (or equivalent) to include level C or above in Maths and EnglishExperience in a manufacturing, process, production, recycling, paper, steel, chemical, cement, power generation or other heavy industrial environmentStrong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skillsExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipmentGood understanding of health and safety proceduresWhat's On Offer?Monday to Friday days (plus call out rota)Excellent salary and benefits packageStable long-term employmentOvertime and shutdown opportunitiesCareer development within a global manufacturing businessThis is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Engineer or Plant Fitter looking to join a well-established engineering team in a heavy industrial environment.Full job description available on request.
