Job Description: As an integral part of our transport team, you will contribute directly to operational success while helping us deliver exceptional service. Key Responsibilities: Play a pivotal role in supporting the Transport Manager by motivating, coaching, and guiding the team to achieve exceptional levels of efficiency, profitability, and service excellence. Take ownership of day-to-day transport operations, including dispatch, driver debriefs, and workflow management, ensuring smooth and reliable execution at all times. Act as the primary point of contact for a key customer, maintaining strong professional relationships and ensuring seamless operational delivery. Lead driver debriefs with clarity and confidence, promoting open communication, accountability, and team alignment. Optimise fleet utilisation and staff performance through effective planning, resource management, and sound operational decision-making. Provide regular updates to the Transport Manager, sharing performance insights, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities. Champion health and safety by monitoring, auditing, and reinforcing compliance standards to maintain a safe working environment. Serve as a reliable first point of contact for operational queries via phone, email, or face-to-face interactions, delivering practical and confident solutions. Support KPI reporting and daily operational statistics to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement. Ensure full compliance with company policies and industry regulations, supporting planning and ongoing adherence to standards. Manage vehicle breakdowns and operational disruptions decisively to minimise downtime and maintain service continuity. Foster a positive, collaborative team culture where colleagues feel supported, engaged, and motivated to succeed. Requirements: Bring your transport expertise to the table, including solid knowledge of the Working Time Directive and EU driver hours regulations. Communicate with confidence and clarity at every level, building strong relationships across the business.
