Support Worker - Day shiftsPay rate: £14.18 per hour flat rateShift pattern: 36 hours per week - Day shifts - 8:00am - 20:00pm.The successful applicant will be available to work full time, hold a full UK driving licence, and have previous experience working within mental health services.We're seeking upbeat, engaging support workers to join a mixed-gender team supporting a young person in Chesterfield on a 2:1 basis. They have mild learning disabilities, schizophrenic personality disorder, ADHD, mental health needs, and can display physically challenging behaviours.They enjoy camping in the woods, fitness, music, and visiting local pubs.You'll support daily living tasks while promoting independence, including helping with financial management (all spending requests go through the team, which can be challenging). You'll also play a key role in supporting their mental health and responding appropriately to any challenging behaviours.We're looking for people who are:Resilient, calm, and consistentNon-judgemental and supportive in mentoring someone who may make unwise decisions (e.g., around relationships, substances)Passionate about supporting people to build healthy routines and boundariesAble to de-escalate situations with empathy and confidenceInterested in music, fitness, or social activities – someone who can really connect with the client on a personal levelExperience required:Working with people with mental health diagnoses, especiallypersonality disorderSupporting individuals with learning disabilitiesExperience in guiding someone with risky or impulsive behavioursWho we areacuity care delivers specialist support across Brain Injury, Spinal Injury, Learning Disability & Autism, and Mental Health Services.
