Service Manager – Pumps (Industry experience required)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to lead the UK operations of a well-established and expanding group in the industrial pump sector. This is a strategic, senior-level role ideal for a hands-on leader with both technical depth and commercial acumen.
This role offers a unique blend of operational leadership, technical expertise, and strategic development, overseeing service delivery. You’ll lead a national service and support team, manage customer lifecycle activities—from specification and installation through to service and aftersales—and play a key role in scaling service operations in line with growth.
Define and implement the group’s service strategy across multiple brands and locations.
Manage field engineers, workshop technicians, and support teams to deliver world-class service.
Drive continuous improvement in installation, commissioning, and aftersales support.
Support commercial teams with technical insight on tenders, quotations, and client proposals.
Foster high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive service delivery and efficient resolution of issues.
Lead workforce planning, including recruitment, training, and succession management.
✅ Proven track record in a senior service, technical, or operations role, ideally in the pump, rotating equipment, or water sectors.
Strong working knowledge of centrifugal, submersible, and industrial pump systems.
Demonstrable leadership skills with a hands-on approach to coaching and team development.
Commercially minded with a clear understanding of service lifecycle and contract delivery.
Qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering preferred.
