Position Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate Community Nurse Practitioner to play a core part in delivering skills underpinned by brief psychological interventions within the new A-EDIT service.
Service
The Adult Eating Disorders Intensive Treatment service (A-EDIT) is a regionwide service offering treatment as an alternative to Specialist Eating Disorder (SEDU) inpatient admission to adults receiving treatment from a Community Eating Disorders service (CEDS) who have a severe eating disorder that makes them eligible for SEDU admission.
Role Responsibilities
* Act as a clinical expert in the service area: stay clinically up to date, assess service users thoroughly, plan care, audit and evaluate nursing and NICE recommended therapeutic interventions based on evidence and local protocols.
* Liaise with and work alongside the wider CEDS, the multidisciplinary team (MDT), ward staff and other health and social care providers across the East of England region.
* Collaborate closely with Adult Eating Disorders Intensive Treatment professionals to deliver effective, individualized, evidence‑based care for patients needing hospital admission and to facilitate early discharge.
* Perform assessment of service users’ needs, contribute to care planning, support carers, deliver interventions alongside colleagues, review interventions, and support discharge meetings.
* Provide guidance and support to the teams senior support workers in absence of Service Leads and act as a point of contact for the A-EDIT MDT.
Other Information
