We use a hybrid working model, from the office and at home. Joining our team, you will be involved in development activities for solutions that the team support (Assyst, Verint CM Pro, Uniform, ArcGIS). The focus of this role will be on data and reporting. Your day-to-day work will include other development with our solutions, including integrations between systems using APIs and other tools. You will use your skills in data and databases to take responsibility for building and maintaining data reporting models and reports for use in the team and with our customers across the Council. You will develop specialist knowledge of database concepts, object and data modelling techniques and design principles. You will already have good knowledge of data structures and SQL, and preferably an understanding of MS PowerBI, the main reporting tool in use in our team. You will apply data analysis and data modelling techniques to data created in our solutions. An understanding of GIS and data visualisations would be advantageous. Finally, you will prioritise and diagnose support calls according to agreed procedures. You will investigate the cause of incidents and seek resolution, escalating unresolved incidents. The Person If you meet the essential qualification criteria outlined below, we’d like to hear from you: Educated to SCQF level 8 which includes HND or SVQ level 4 or equivalent or equivalent vocational accreditation in a computing/systems or related discipline or possess equivalent experience. This role will require you to undertake a short skills test prior to interview.
