About the Role You'll join a busy residential property team supporting senior conveyancers with the day-to-day running of files from instruction through to post-completion. Unlike many assistant roles, this one is intentionally designed to help you transition into a fee-earning position, giving you hands-on exposure and mentoring as you grow. Key Responsibilities Include: Assisting with residential property transactions from instruction to completion Drafting and preparing legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements Managing searches, raising enquiries, and tracking key deadlines Liaising directly with clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors Ensuring all case files are maintained accurately within the case management system Supporting the post-completion process including SDLT returns and Land Registry applications Learning the full conveyancing process with a view to taking on your own caseload in time What They're Looking For: Essential: At least 12 months of experience as a Conveyancing Assistant in a law firm Confident handling client communication and managing documentation Strong working knowledge of the conveyancing process from start to finish Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines Experience with case management systems such as Proclaim or similar Desirable: A real desire to step into a Fee Earner role in the near future Knowledge of residential property law and the legal framework around conveyancing Experience handling post-completion processes Why Apply?
