An award-winning civil engineering contractor, has an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to develop their expertise and contribute to high-quality infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in site operations throughout the entire project cycle, working across sectors such as marine and coastal works, highways, flood defence, bridges, and ports and harbours.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Operations & Supervision
* Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work aligns with project plans and specifications.
* Set out works and verify levels, alignment, and measurements.
* Collaborate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
* Identify risks to project delivery and resolve or escalate promptly.
* Conduct progress reviews and report updates to site management.
Compliance & Quality
* Inspect materials and completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
* Ensure all necessary permits are obtained before commencing site activities.
* Address non-compliance or quality issues, escalating as required.
Health, Safety & Sustainability
* Promote safety as a core value across all activities.
* Identify, report, and address safety concerns, escalating where necessary.
* Support HSEQ and Sustainability objectives, communicating updates to the team.
What You’ll Bring
* Third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a civil engineering role.
* Full driving licence valid in the UK/Ireland.
* Flexibility to travel and work on multiple projects across the UK.
