An established and growing organisation is seeking to appoint a Regional Supply Chain Manager to play a key role in the development and management of a high-performing supply chain function. Working in close collaboration with Operations, Pre-Construction, Bid, and Estimating teams, you will support the successful delivery of refurbishment and construction projects across a diverse portfolio of sectors, including education, healthcare, hospitality, and student accommodation.

Position: Regional Supply Chain Manager

Location: Stoke-On-Trent

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + car allowance + Package

Contract Type: Permanent (Hybrid working)

Start date: Immediately available

A significant proportion of projects are delivered within live operational environments, requiring a supply chain that consistently delivers against the highest standards of safety, programme certainty, quality, and customer satisfaction.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of regional supply chain capability, ensuring the effective selection, onboarding, and management of subcontractors and suppliers. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing commercial performance, mitigating risk, and driving continuous improvement across project delivery.

The organisation operates a hybrid working model, enabling a balance between home working and regular regional engagement with suppliers, stakeholders, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and continuously refine regional and national supply chain strategies aligned with corporate objectives, margin improvement targets, and category management plans
2. Identify opportunities to enhance supply chain capability, resilience, and competitiveness across all key trades and disciplines
3. Establish and maintain effective relationships with a broad network of subcontractors and suppliers
4. Lead supplier performance management activities, including KPI monitoring, reviews, and improvement planning
5. Ensure clear ownership and governance of key supplier and manufacturer relationships
6. Review and assess supplier pricing submissions and market movements, providing robust commercial recommendations
7. Support the negotiation of rates, terms, and agreements to deliver best value and mitigate cost pressures
8. Contribute to rebate, cost-saving, and value-generation initiatives, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting against targets
9. Maintain a balanced, compliant, and regionally appropriate supply base, including mapping of trade coverage and identification of gaps or risks
10. Support due diligence, onboarding, and compliance processes to ensure all suppliers meet required standards
11. Work closely with operational and pre-construction teams to support tendering, mobilisation, and delivery phases
12. Contribute to value engineering and supplier selection processes to optimise project outcomes
13. Provide supply chain expertise to support continuous improvement and business transformation initiatives
14. Monitor external market conditions, supply chain trends, and sector developments
15. Provide insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency
16. Produce accurate and timely reports, dashboards, and documentation to support performance tracking and decision-making
17. Ensure all activities are conducted in line with company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

18. Proven experience in a supply chain, procurement, or commercial role within the construction or refurbishment sector
19. Experience operating within live environments such as healthcare, education, or hospitality settings
20. A strong understanding of pre-construction processes, tendering, and project delivery requirements
21. Well-developed analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and market information
22. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
23. A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with strong organisational and prioritisation capabilities
24. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment
25. A full UK driving licence, with willingness to travel regionally as required
