Birmingham Children's Trust is looking for a skilled and experienced social worker to join our Case Progression Team on a fixed term basis for a period of 2 years. You must be a qualified social worker with at least three years' experience of completing good quality court work.
This is a key quality assurance role focused on driving timely progress through the court process. You will support social workers and managers to ensure pre-proceedings and care proceedings are robust, well evidenced and professionally strong, helping secure legal permanence for children without delay.
In this role, you will:
• Provide direct support and guidance to social workers in preparing court documentation and evidence
• Work alongside team managers to strengthen oversight and quality assurance of court work
• Track and support the progression of cases, helping to reduce delay and ensure children achieve permanence without drift
• Contribute to improving practice across the service through coaching, mentoring, training and by providing constructive challenge
