We are looking for a passionate and motivated Trainer Assessor in Electrical Installations to join our dynamic Construction team at the Cambridge Campus.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and a wide range of generous benefits.
About the role:
You will manage a caseload of apprentices and support them through their learning journey.
This includes coordinating their development of knowledge, skills, and behaviours aligned with their apprenticeship programmes, and preparing them for successful End Point Assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering high-quality training and support
2. Conducting workplace assessments and reviews
3. Monitoring and recording apprentice progress
4. Guiding apprentices through End Point Assessment preparation
5. Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers
6. Contributing to business development initiatives
7. Keeping up to date with industry standards and Health & Safety
8. Maintaining comprehensive documentation and records
This role offers agile working flexibility, including a blend of on-site duties, workplace visits, and remote administrative work from home.
What we’re looking for:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
9. A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Domestic and Commercial Electrical Installation
10. Substantial, relevant industry experience
11. An Assessor and/or IQA qualification (desirable)
12. Experience in teaching or assessing
13. Strong knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA requirements
14. Professional communication and relationship-building skills
15. Confidence using IT systems and digital tools
16. Flexibility and a collaborative mindset
17. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use or the means to be able to get to locations covering Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties.
