Warehouse Operator
Contract Type: Temporary – Contract until the end of this year, with potential for extension and possible permanent employment
Pay: £13.49 per hour
Reporting to: Warehouse Team Lead

Working Hours
* Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:15
* Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
* Breaks:
o 2 × 15-minute paid breaks per shift
o 1 × 30-minute unpaid break per shift
* Flexibility required to support additional hours during the week and at weekends when needed.
DHL is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator to support operations within the CMB Stores. This role is initially on a temporary basis until the end of the year. There is potential for extension and possible permanent employment, however this is not guaranteed .

Main Responsibilities
* Work safely in full compliance with site Health & Safety requirements
* Take responsibility for own safety and the safety of others
* Adhere to Safety Systems and Site PSMS (Personnel Safety Management Systems)
* Pick materials for issue to site
* Store materials in racking and shelving locations
* Load and unload materials using a forklift truck
* Deliver materials to site via van or forklift
* Man the warehouse service counter
* Receive and receipt goods deliveries
* Enter data into the Warehouse Management System (SAP) and spreadsheets
* Dispatch materials as required
* Participate in an on-call rota for site emergency material requests
* Support additional hours when required to meet customer needs
* Respond to ad hoc tasks and requests from management
Skills & Experience Required
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
* Good numeracy, literacy, communication skills, and attention to detail
* IT literacy (training provided where appropriate)
* Forklift truck experience (training provided where appropriate)
* Ability to prioritise workload and work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to take initiative while knowing when to seek guidance
