Job Summary
The post holder will work in the Radiopharmacy section of the Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering and will prepare radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. This is a very exciting time for the Radiopharmacy team as we are about to hand over a brand new state‑of‑the‑art Radiopharmacy aseptic facility. The successful candidate’s main duties initially will involve performing the various quality control procedures required to enable the new facility to gain a Manufacturing Specialist Licence granted by the MHRA. Main hours of work are currently 06:30 to 14:30 Monday to Friday.
Main Duties of the Job
* Performing cleaning and process verification tests for the new Radiopharmacy alongside the assistant technical officers.
* Aseptically preparing, labelling and performing quality control on and supplying radiopharmaceuticals and radio‑labelled bloods.
* Assisting with preparing and maintaining worksheets, SOPs, records and other documents.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician who would welcome the challenge to join our friendly team in the Radiopharmacy. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in commissioning a brand new Radiopharmacy and to develop your career. Previous experience of working in an aseptic environment would be advantageous, although full training and support relevant to your level of experience will be given to the successful applicant.
