As a Mig/Tig Welder Fabricator, you will be an integral part of our clients team, contributing to their mission of providing superior repair services to the railway industry. Utilising your expertise in Mig/Tig welding techniques, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and repairing metal components for rolling stock, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Youll be initially based in Derby but you may be required to visit different customer sites and depots across the UK. Flexibility to stay away from home when needed is essential, with all expenses covered.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent role with excellent progressive opportunities available!
What Youll Be Doing
* Interpret engineering drawings to determine welding requirements for railway components
* Perform Mig/ Tig welding operations on a variety of metal alloys used in rolling stock construction, including stainless steel and aluminium
* Fabricate and repair metal components for railway equipment, adhering to strict quality standards and safety regulations
* Conduct thorough inspections of welds to ensure integrity and reliability
* Collaborate closely with our engineering and maintenance teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
* Travel to customer sites and depots across the UK when required
Hours
Monday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm & 7am-12pm on Friday
Pay
£16.76 per hour
Overtime paid at £25.14 per hour
Skills/Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Mig/Tig Welder Fabricator
* Proficiency in Mig / Tig welding techniques, with a strong emphasis on precision and quality
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings
* Must have a valid UK driving licence
* Must be flexible to stay away from home when required
* Excellent attention to detail
* Knowledge of welding equipment
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
