Senior Data Engineer

The Role
You will join a small but growing data team, working closely with engineering, product, and analytics to build robust, scalable data infrastructure. This is a hands on senior individual contributor role with real influence over architecture and best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL.
* Developing and optimising data models in Snowflake to support analytics and reporting.
* Contributing to the build out of a robust staging and testing environment for data changes.
* Improving monitoring, alerting, and data quality across core pipelines.
* Supporting lower latency analytics and data movement initiatives.
* Working end to end on data engineering projects, from ingestion through to consumption.
* Collaborating closely with software engineers and stakeholders across the business.
Your Skills and Experience
* Strong commercial experience in data engineering with solid software engineering foundations.
* Advanced Python and SQL skills used in production data environments.
* Experience with modern data platforms and tooling such as Snowflake, dbt, Dagster or Airflow.
* Good understanding of data modelling principles and how to apply them pragmatically.
* Experience working in cloud environments, ideally AWS.
* Comfortable operating in a scale up or high growth environment with changing priorities.
* A proactive, ownership driven approach to problem solving.
