Our client is a respected international cleanroom construction company renowned for delivering high-performance cleanroom facilities to ISO 14644 standards (ISO 5–8 classifications) and cGMP requirements. They partner with blue-chip clients in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, electronics, and high-tech manufacturing, providing full turnkey design, construction, fit-out, and validation services.
With a strong project pipeline and ongoing expansion, our client is looking for experienced Site Managers and/or Project Managers to lead the safe, compliant, and successful delivery of cleanroom builds across the UK. These are key leadership roles in a niche, high-quality sector where precision, contamination control, and regulatory adherence are paramount.
Role Overview
* Site Manager focus: Hands-on leadership of on-site operations, subcontractor management, and daily delivery in live or operational regulated environments.
* Project Manager focus: Full lifecycle oversight from pre-construction planning through to client handover, qualification, and close-out.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage site teams, specialist subcontractors (modular wall/ceiling systems, HVAC/HEPA/FFU integration, flooring, airlocks, gowning zones) and ensure precise sequencing to maintain cleanliness protocols
* Uphold rigorous H&S standards (including live-site permits, behavioural safety, and contamination risk mitigation)
* Deliver projects compliant with ISO cleanroom classifications, EU GMP Annex 1, client DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ validation requirements
* Produce and track detailed programmes, commercial reports, resource plans, variations, and value engineering opportunities
* Build strong relationships with clients, architects, M&E consultants, validation teams, and end-users
* Oversee site logistics, materials handling, waste management, quality documentation, and defect-free handover
Essential Requirements
* Proven track record as Site Manager or Project Manager in cleanroom construction, pharmaceutical fit-out, controlled environments, or similarly highly regulated builds (essential)
* Solid knowledge of cleanroom techniques (panel systems, pressure cascades, pass-throughs, HVAC integration, contamination control during construction)
* Current SMSTS certificate
* Full UK driving licence
* Eligible to work in the UK and travel when needed
