Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager – Crowne Plaza Nottingham
£30,000 per annum + service charge, 40 hours per week across 5 days
We are looking for a strong leader with excellent interpersonal and training skills, a service‑oriented mindset, keen attention to detail, and the ability to motivate a team.
Responsibilities
* Carry out duty management shifts according to business needs and participate in departmental meetings to review progress towards business plan goals.
* Manage the daily operations of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring the highest standards of service are provided to guests.
* Plan, organise and direct the overall food and beverage operation, administration, marketing and promotion of the outlet, and be responsible for its profitability and revenue generation.
* Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for Restaurant, Bar and Room service.
* Maintain control measures to keep food and beverage costs, productivity, labour costs and operating supply costs in line with budget.
* Communicate clearly with the Food & Beverage Manager, Head Chef, Conference & Events Manager and Operations Manager.
* Work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, with shift patterns to be discussed at interview.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated leadership experience in a hospitality environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to train and motivate a team.
* Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
* Experience implementing and monitoring control measures for cost and productivity.
