A new and exciting opportunity has arrived at Overview for a stand-alone IT Support Manager to join the business. This crucial role will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and evolving our IT systems and infrastructure while working alongside our outsourced IT provider. You will be ideal for this role if you have strong hands-on experience working in an SME environment, in a standalone role, with a broad IT responsibility remit. You will be proactive, methodical and driven to improve how things are done, with an excellent ability to communicate across all levels of the business. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line on-site IT support, including triage and resolution of incidents. Define and implement IT policies and procedures, covering security, data protection, usage standards, etc. Maintain onsite infrastructure (Windows, VMWare, Linux, Cisco & Ubiquiti, etc). Be the point of contact for our outsourced IT services and ensure SLA compliance. Lead small-scale technical infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations and deployments. Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams on Linux-based systems and CI/CD infrastructure. Provide IT support and onboarding for new starters and manage hardware/software provisioning Monitor system health and maintain asset and license records. maintain (and achieve new) IT accreditations (CE, CE, IASME) Skills and Qualifications Strong experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and VMware infrastructure. Linux experience in a professional setting. Proven ability to create and improve IT policies and procedures. Experience in enterprise-level network architectures (deploying and maintaining). Experience with ERP systems, 3cx/VoIP, CAD packages, and Windows Subsystem for Linux. Experience in defining and managing software budgets Familiarity with Cybersecurity best practices and tooling. Previous experience in an SME environment Hands-on, dependable and an excellent communicator across all levels of the business.
