Role Overview
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners on challenging and meaningful cases, with a particular focus on serious birth injury claims. The successful candidate will have a reasonable level of experience handling cerebral palsy-related clinical negligence cases, alongside broader expertise in complex birth injury litigation.
Joining a well-established and respected Clinical Negligence team, you will assist a partner on high-value birth injury matters while managing aspects of complex cases and building strong relationships with clients through empathetic, expert legal support.

Key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting Partners on high-value and complex birth injury claims, including cerebral palsy cases
2. Managing aspects of complex clinical negligence matters and progressing files effectively
3. Building trusted client relationships and managing expectations around risk, timescales and outcomes
4. Developing sector knowledge and demonstrating expertise to clients and contacts
5. Supporting junior lawyers through mentoring and technical guidance
6. Supporting business development initiatives and growing internal and external networks
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with 4+ years’ PQE and strong claimant clinical negligence experience.
Candidates should ideally offer:
7. Experience handling high-value and complex birth injury litigation
8. A reasonable level of previous experience in cerebral palsy-related clinical negligence claims
9. Previous experience assisting Partners on complex and sensitive matters
10. Strong technical knowledge and excellent case management skills
11. Ability to build strong client relationships with empathy and confidence
12. Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
13. Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to wider team growth
