Location: Vane Hill ARBD Care Home, Torquay
Hours: 22.5 hours / 3 days per week, between Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00. Plus on call duties.
Vane Hill ARBD Care Home is recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Person to carry out day-to-day maintenance of their 23-bed care home, catering for up to 32 residents across two buildings. The team at Vane Hill provides specialist support for individuals living with Korsakoff’s syndrome, mental health problems, and the effects of Alcohol-Related Brain Damage.
THE ROLE:
* General maintenance of the home
* Maintaining equipment and keeping up to date records
* Carrying out regular tests and checks such as fire alarms and PAT testing
* Completing relevant paperwork including health and safety audits and risk assessments
* Painting and decorating
* Liaise with the Home Manager and/or Managing Director regarding any problems

THE RIGHT PERSON:
* To be flexible to suit the needs of the home and able to prioritize workload
* Must have experience in general maintenance; care home maintenance experience is desirable
* Experience of working both independently and in a team
* Must hold a full, clean driving licence
