About the role:
A well-regarded secondary school in Oldbury is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled ICT Teacher to join its committed teaching team. The successful candidate will inspire students to engage with digital technologies, develop key computing skills and prepare for a technology-driven future. Role Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and challenging ICT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
* Teach a range of topics including programming, digital literacy, networking and online safety.
* Use creative teaching methods to support learners of varying abilities and needs.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
* Contribute to curriculum development, resource creation and departmental planning.
* Promote the safe, responsible, and ethical use of technology among students.
* Participate in extracurricular clubs, workshops and events related to computing and technology.
Role Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Degree in ICT, Computer Science or a related subject.
* Strong subject knowledge of ICT and computing principles.
* Have a DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain this.
* Experience teaching at secondary school level.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
