The Role
We’re looking for a reliable Cleaning Operative to help maintain the cleanliness of a busy office.
You will be working in a team of 5, covering a large, three-storey building
Responsibilities
* Maintain high cleanliness standards across all areas, internal and external.
* Report health & safety concerns and building maintenance issues promptly.
* Manage cleaning supplies and stock control.
* Use cleaning products safely and operate equipment responsibly.
* Support Facilities Team with additional tasks as needed.
* Cleaning Duties Include:
* Emptying bins, dusting, wiping surfaces, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
* Cleaning office, communal, kitchen, bathroom, and outdoor areas thoroughly.
* Sanitising kitchen appliances, checking expiry dates, and replenishing consumables.
* Maintaining tidy storage areas and adhering to COSHH and health & safety guidelines.
Person Specification
* Previous cleaning or facilities experience in a professional environment.
* Understanding of COSHH and safe handling of cleaning products.
* Basic knowledge of health & safety in the workplace.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
* Good communication skills.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Positive, can-do attitude.
* Capable of carrying out physically active duties (e.g. lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
Salary & Hours
* Salary of 12.51 per hour – 35 hours per week
* Working hours are Monday to Friday 6:30am to 2:00pm
