Job Summary
Fife Council Roads and Transportation Services is looking for three skilled Summer Placement students to join our service and support in the management and maintenance of critical infrastructure across the region.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the team in delivering inspections, design work, and project support for a diverse portfolio of Roads and Transportation infrastructure that protect and connect our communities.
You will be expected to work collectively and individually on the delivery of these projects.
Although a high level of mental agility is evidently required, this work will also be physically demanding at times as it will require site work such as inspections and construction supervision. This may include working adjacent to live traffic, in inclement weather and lone working.

Essential: Educated to SCQF level 5 (National 5 or SVQ level 2 or Standard Grades at credit level including Maths and English at level 3 or above, or equivalent).
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with members of the public, as well as being a good team player and capable of working alone and unsupervised at times. IT skills relevant to the role and experience in AutoCAD would be beneficial.
Good knowledge of the construction industry and, in particular, civil engineering infrastructure.
