Job Summary
Shift Engineers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bus vehicle services. You will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance checks and attending breakdowns to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. This includes conducting daily inspections, identifying defects or damage, and recording them promptly for repair. Additionally, you will assist with repairs where possible, ensuring minimal disruption to the bus services. Your work will contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of our operations, enabling us to provide safe and comfortable bus service for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct daily inspections.
* Attend breakdowns and report issues identified.
* Assist with maintenance repairs.
* Adhere to relevant health and safety regulations.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance service sheets.
* Communicate effectively with other members of the engineering team and operations staff.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Experience working within a Bus Vehicle environment.
* Knowledge of Bus Vehicle industry standards and procedures.
* Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks as directed.
* Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of tool use.
* Physical fitness and flexibility to perform manual handling tasks.
* Willingness to work shift including weekends.
