Quantity Surveyor
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in groundworks, civil and general building and is willing to progress to a Senior Surveyor level within a supportive working environment over time.
The full time employed role will involve, but not limited to:
* Managing the day-to-day surveying, estimating, take off etc
* Tendering for our smaller projects with a value range of 3k to 250k
* Support the team in any post tender negotiations
* Procurement of project materials
* Reconciliation of pricing with our team during projects
* Work as part of the existing team to support their daily activities
* Meeting clients and discussing their needs, following up with pricing and quotations
* Compiling and submitting payment applications and/or invoices for projects in a timely manner
* Creating and maintaining internal rates database
* Sub-contractor sourcing prices, agreement orders, liabilities
* Assisting the MD in bid analysis and contract negotiations
* Cost planning & budgeting forecasting for monthly reporting.
Experience level required:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in groundworks and building maintenance is a must.
* Willing to build and progress to a Senior Surveyor within the business
* Excellent communication skills
* Confident dealing with customers
* Good knowledge of estimating software
* Good understanding of building contracts
Working hours 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday – Friday
