Robertson Bell are proud to be working with a well-established Local Government organisation as they go out to market for an Interim Finance Assistant for an initial 6-month contract. This role is offering the opportunity to work on a full time or part time basis, as well as a hybrid working pattern of just once a week in the office, allowing for brilliant flexibility.
The key duties of the Finance Assistant will be;
* Working on an interesting budgeting project, adding value to the team and the data they produce.
* Reconciling payments in accordance to the budget.
* Additional transactional duties, such as journal posting.
The successful candidate will;
* Have strong ledger reconciliation skills and experience.
* Possess a good knowledge and understanding of journal postings, and debits and credits.
* Be extremely proactive and keen to take on a new challenge where they can get heavily stuck in.
* Previous experience in a public sector organisation.
