Job Description
As an experienced originator, you will be joining a small but high-growth organisation during an exciting period of expansion. Reporting directly to one of the founding partners, you will support the firm’s continued growth in development finance, writing £50m - £100m of high-quality development loans per annum (across senior and stretched development loans, and bridge loans).
The company has provided over £3bn of loans and funded the construction of over 15,000 new homes. They are funded through large financial institutions who invest in their private credit funds – each fund backing a specific lending strategy. Investors include pension funds, insurance companies and asset managers. The company has capital commitments to allow to them to provide over £1bn of new lending each year.
The ideal candidate will currently be working at a bank or debt fund and have a proven track record of originating and closing development finance transactions.
* At least 10+ years of experience in the origination and execution of property finance transactions.
* Residential development finance experience essential.
* Demonstrable networks and deal pipelines within the property finance / development space.
* An expert understanding of the risk analysis process including analytical skills in assessing debt opportunities.
* Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills including excel modelling expertise.
* Ability to express complex issues succinctly and clearly.
* Energy, dynamism, and passion for complex business challenges.
