We have an exciting role on offer within our Specialist and Lifelong Services, Learning and Disability Team as a Social Worker.
To help us recruit social workers who are committed to working in Middlesbrough, we are currently offering a 10% market supplement to social work salaries, once ASYE is completed, which will be reviewed at the end of March 2027.
We expect our experienced Social Workers to hold BIA (Grade K and L), Practice Educator or AMHP (Grade L) qualifications as outlined in our progression criteria. If you do not currently hold the relevant qualification, we welcome your application and will expect a commitment to undertaking the appropriate training upon commencing employment, with full support provided.

The team supports people with a learning disability from the age of 18 years and their carers/family. As a social worker you will work closely with colleagues within the Learning Disability team, partners from Health, the voluntary and charitable sectors and with children’s services and education with young adults who are preparing for adulthood.
The work is varied and may include writing court reports for CoP DoL applications and safeguarding You will be working with people of different ages who may be living at home with parents, living independently with support or in supported living houses, or residential placements If you are a qualified social worker or you are about to qualify as a social worker we have two positions available within our established Learning Disability team.
You will hold a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. qualifications as outlined in our progression criteria.
