Secondary Computing Teacher

Milk Education are seeking a skilled, knowledgeable, and resilient Computing Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in South Yorkshire. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Computing, delivering both practical and theory-based lessons across relevant areas such as Computer Science, Programming, Digital Literacy, and IT. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality Computing lessons in line with the national curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons, including programming and problem-solving tasks
Ensure a safe and well-managed classroom environment that supports effective learning
Inspire computational thinking, creativity, and independent problem-solving
Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to support learning
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Specialism in Computing – able to teach KS3 and KS4
Strong classroom management skills
Sound knowledge of the Computing national curriculum, including Computer Science fundamentals
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
