Your new roleYou will play a key part in the pastoral team, helping ensure students feel safe, supported, and able to succeed. Responsibilities include:
1. Providing 1:1 and small‑group pastoral support
2. Supporting students with behaviour, attendance, and emotional wellbeing
3. Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
4. Liaising with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies
5. Assisting with behaviour plans, restorative work, and mentoring
6. Managing students in the behaviour base or reflection room where needed
What you’ll need to succeed
7. Experience in a school, youth work, behaviour support, or pastoral role
8. Strongmunication and de‑escalation skills
9. An empathetic, calm, and patient approach
10. The ability to build rapport with young people with diverse needs
11. An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
