We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Accounts & HR Supervisor to join our team. This is a varied and important role that combines finance management with HR responsibilities. You'll be the go-to person for both numbers and people, helping to keep our business running smoothly every day.
What you'll be doing
Finance
* Raising invoices, chasing payments, and taking payments over the phone.
* Submitting VAT, PAYE, and HMRC returns.
* Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining Sage records.
* Assisting with payroll preparation (hours, overtime, expenses).
* Producing management reports and monitoring cash flow.
HR
* Acting as the first point of contact for staff HR queries.
* Supporting recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
* Maintaining accurate employee records (contracts, holidays, absence, training).
* Preparing HR documents such as contracts, letters, and policy updates.
* Helping ensure policies, health & safety records, and employment law are followed.
What we're looking for
* Experience in both finance/accounts and HR supervision.
* Strong knowledge of Sage and UK accounting practices.
* Good understanding of UK employment processes.
* Excellent organisational skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Absolute discretion when handling confidential information.
