Role Overview
A leading UK main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-value, complex projects across the commercial and hospitality sectors is seeking an experienced Facade Manager to join their team in Edinburgh. With a robust pipeline of work and a commitment to quality, they offer an excellent opportunity to work on flagship developments in prime city-centre locations.
You will be joining a major 80m hotel development in central Edinburgh, taking responsibility for the full façade package from planning through to completion. As Facade Manager, you will oversee all external envelope works, ensuring technical compliance, programme delivery, and exceptional quality standards. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage interfaces with structural and internal packages, and work closely with the Project Manager and design team to resolve technical challenges. The role will involve ensuring health & safety adherence, managing programme milestones, and maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders on this high‑profile city‑centre scheme.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all external envelope works, ensuring technical compliance and programme delivery.
* Coordinate subcontractors and manage interfaces with structural and internal packages.
* Work closely with the Project Manager and design team to resolve technical challenges.
* Ensure health & safety adherence and manage programme milestones.
* Maintain clear communication across all stakeholders on a high-profile city‑centre scheme.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Facade Manager or Senior Site Manager with façade responsibility.
* Strong knowledge of façade systems, including curtain walling, cladding, and glazing.
* Experience working on large‑scale projects, ideally within the hotel, commercial or mixed‑use sectors.
* Ability to manage complex interfaces between façade and structural packages.
* Excellent understanding of health & safety and quality standards.
* Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Relevant qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).
