Salary: £40,000 Basic | £60,000 OTE
Schedule: Rotating Day & Night Shifts

Key Responsibilities for Highways Technology Electrician
Install and maintain Smart Highways systems including:
Traffic flow monitors
Roadside sensors and CCTV cameras
Variable Message Signs (VMS)
Street lighting and control units
Diagnose faults and carry out system repairs
Support upgrades and network expansion projects
Collaborate with project teams to ensure safe delivery
Record works and contribute to continual improvementQualifications & Training for Highways Technology Electrician
Required:
AM2 Certification or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or ECS GOLD Card (Installation Electrician or equivalent)
Not required: Highways experience—we’ll train you from the ground upDesirable Skills for Highways Technology Electrician
Familiarity with infrastructure or electrical projects (preferred but not essential)
Strong troubleshooting and reporting abilities
Willingness to work outdoors, at height, and across various sitesAdditional Info
Night/day shifts required to meet operational needs
On-call and overtime available—realistic earnings up to £60K
