Location: Luton / Hybrid (occasional travel to other locations) Salary: £25,000 Programme: Customer Service Specialist Apprenticeship ⏳ Contract: Permanent (with apprenticeship training) About the opportunity This apprenticeship is a brilliant starting point if you’re interested in people, communication, organisation, or a future career in Talent, Recruitment, HR or Customer Experience. You’ll join our Talent Engagement team, who support people throughout their working journey — not just at the start. From answering questions and guiding candidates through onboarding, to keeping in touch once they’re in role, our team makes sure people feel supported, informed and valued every step of the way. No previous experience is required. We’ll teach you everything you need to succeed. What you’ll be doing As an Apprentice Talent Engagement Coordinator, you’ll support the delivery of an outstanding experience for our contractor and candidate community. Your day‑to‑day will include: Responding to candidate and contractor queries via our Customer Hub (email, phone and systems) Supporting people through onboarding checks, forms and first‑day readiness Taking part in keeping‑in‑touch calls and engagement activities Helping gather feedback, data and insights to improve our service Working closely with colleagues across recruitment, onboarding and client teams Learning how to prioritise queries, escalate issues, and find the right solutions You won’t be expected to know this all from day one — this is a learning role, and you’ll be supported throughout. What you’ll learn Through your apprenticeship and on‑the‑job experience, you’ll develop skills that are valuable across many careers, including: Professional communication and confidence Customer service and problem‑solving Organisation and planning Working with data and systems Understanding recruitment, talent and workforce engagement How to support people through change and new starts You’ll build real experience from day one, backed by structured training. About you We’re looking for someone who is: Friendly, approachable and enjoys helping people Curious and keen to learn Organised, with good attention to detail Comfortable communicating by phone, email and Teams Open‑minded and adaptable You don’t need previous office or recruitment experience. Helpful (but not essential): Any customer‑facing experience (retail, hospitality, volunteering, part‑time work, etc.) Interest in people, HR, recruitment or customer experience Basic IT skills (email, Word, Excel) Important information – Security Clearance This role sits within a government‑aligned environment, which means successful candidates will need to go through a security clearance process. We’ll explain the process clearly You’ll be fully supported through the steps Clearance is required before you can start in post We’re happy to answer questions about this during the recruitment process.
