An established manufacturing group is seeking a Financial Controller.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing accountant to work closely with operational and finance teams across multiple locations, playing a key role in enhancing financial controls, operational performance, and reporting quality.
This is a broad, hands-on position ideal for a manufacturing accountant with strong experience in costing, inventory management, budgeting, and financial controls.
As part of the leadership team, you'll collaborate regularly with operational managers and act as a strategic finance partner.
Key Responsibilities Oversee accounting processes, internal reporting, and month end accuracy, working closely with group finance and supply chain teams Act as finance partner to the operational managers and teams, monitoring risks and providing clear financial analysis Maintain accurate costing and inventory data, overseeing inventory controls and cycle counts Support capital planning, fixed asset management, and UK transactional finance activities Support budgeting and forecasting cycles and prepare internal financial and operational statements Review job orders, monthly results, variances, and trends, highlighting insights and recommending practical actions What We're Looking For Manufacturing sector experience Strong background in product costing, cost maintenance, and inventory controls Experience with ERP systems and consolidation tools Advanced Excel skills What's on Offer Salary to £55,000 Excellent holiday, enhanced pension, bonus scheme, flexible working IPS Finance has 45 years experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
